After decades of hosting memorable life events, The Estates of Sunnybrook announced its closure in September of 2020.
The Management of the venue announced that it’s retiring its three historic buildings (Comprised of the McLean House, Vaughan Estate, and Coach House) from the Toronto wedding industry for good.
“After decades of hosting memorable life events we unfortunately announce the closure of The Estates of Sunnybrook,” said the venue.
“…The Estates has had the pleasure of hosting several celebrities, dignitaries and delegates over the years. Our goal was to deliver outstanding customer service and exceed expectations; this could not be accomplished without the continuous help and support from the community and our associates.”
It’s unclear exactly why The Estates, which restored its early 20th-century homes into wedding locales in the 1980s, is closing.
As the wedding industry / events industry at large faces an unprecedented downturn due to postponements, cancellations and changing bylaws, venues and wedding vendors continue to struggle making ends meet during the COVID-19 pandemic
The Estates of Sunnybrook is a popular Toronto banquet venue located right next to the Sunnybrook Hospital on Bayview Street.
Kooltempo Toronto DJ Services regularly provides Toronto Wedding DJ / Toronto Photo Booth services for Weddings and events at The Estates of Sunnybrook and we are very familiar with the venue logistics etc for this event space. The Sunnybrook Hospital is also a Corporate Customers of Kooltempo Toronto DJ service for their annual employee events that are usually held at the The Estates of Sunnybrook property.
This venue is very popular for Weddings as it features two outdoor areas to host Wedding Ceremonies. Both Vaughan Estates and Mclean House has excellent patio spaces for summer events. In addition to Toronto Weddings Kooltempo Toronto DJ Services have also DJ’ed for many Corporate Events and School Dances at the The Sunnybrook Estates event spaces.
